The cases related to the paper we published last year came from Europe; since then, we have not received in our laboratory other specimens with similar findings. There are however, as you mentioned, evidence in the literature suggesting that some IOL designs may be too flexible to withstand capsular contraction; in cases with predisposing conditions for this complication (e.g., pseudoexfoliation), this should certainly be considered.
